The Foundation was proud to appoint Jay Laga’aia as an Ambassador in 2009. Jay Laga’aia is one of Australia’s most diverse performers and star of children’s television. Jay has been heavily involved in the Foundation as our resident MC at the annual Sydney Butterfly Ball since 2008, Wollongong Butterfly Ball and the Perth Rainbow Ball. Jay often performs at Livvi’s Place events for our kids.

Quentin Kenihan

It all began with a tweet.

Quentin Kenihan was Australia’ s most unique celebrity, having spent most of his life either in front or behind a camera as a film maker and actor. In his spare time, he was a disability activist. That’s where the tweets come in…

Quentin had been working hard to ensure that there is an inclusive playspace in the Adelaide CBD. It was only a matter of time until our paths crashed – and as they say, the rest is history.

“I’ve been looking to support a charity that I can believe in for some time. Touched By Olivia is about supporting a charity that creates play spaces for kids. It’s an organisation investing in kids smiles. I can’t think of anything more worthwhile,” said Quentin when we first caught up with him in Adelaide in July 2016.
Since this meeting he has unfortunately passed away, but not after helping us bring inclusivity through play to South Australia. Touched By Olivia will continue to spread this message of inclusivity with our playspaces to honour this Australian icon.
